"I broadened my horizons and fell into a company and a role I love"

After two previous jobs in roles that were good but not quite right I applied for a job through Prograd.  At this stage I hadn’t really looked into Prograd too much and just thought it was another recruitment agency.  Unbeknown to me, when I got the call a week or so later from Prograd and was told I had been successful and was to come in for an assessment day I was a little taken aback.  Come assessment day I was both a little nervous and very excited.  After a day of psychometric testing, group activities and a nerve racking presentation on myself I was told I had been successful.

From here the team at Prograd worked their magic and set me up with numerous interviews.  After a number of these interviews I found the perfect job.  While not everything was quite right for me I was able to make great contacts at each of the companies along the way and I also gained a clearer understanding of where I wanted to be career-wise and how I wanted to get there.

I now work in sales with a digital printing company and I have Prograd to thank for helping me to expand my horizons.  After encouragement from Prograd I broadened my horizons and fell into a company and a role I love, which I foresee myself being in for a long time.

Having graduated from a course in Marketing/PR two years earlier, my understanding of sales was minimal so I was very grateful to learn that Prograd provided sales training.  I have since attended my first module and found it very helpful.  The lecturer was great and created an open learning environment, I even established some great friendships with many of my fellow classmates – some of whom have contacted me for some B2B sales opportunities.

I would highly recommend Prograd to anyone who wants a job in sales where they are exposed to innumerable opportunities and possibilities.  Remember every interview; every meeting is an opportunity, the more you embrace it, the more you’ll get out of it.
